Doris Ann Albanese

Obituary of Doris Ann Albanese Chili, recently of Brockport: Doris A. (Gardner)Albanese, age 70, passed away on August 22, 2017 at Hildebrandt Hospice in Greece, NY. She was born March 11, 1947 in Rochester, NY to Samuel John and Elizabeth A. (Fischer) Gardner Sr. Doris was a very independent woman that spent much of her time on the computer talking to friends and family. If there was ever anything that someone needed, even before computers, Doris could find it and have it at your door within a week. She loved researching genealogy for her family whenever she had the chance. She volunteered for many years at the Oktoberfest that Kendall had some years ago. Doris had a great sense of humor and could do anything she put her mind to. She took care of a lot of things on her own without the help of anyone. Doris loved her family dearly and her best friend in life was her cousin Bev. Doris was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2016, and her father. She is survived by her mother, Betty Gardner, sister, Kathleen (Charles) Akey, brother, Sam Gardner, several nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousin Bev, several more cousins and many friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley, NY on Monday from 1:00-3:00pm where her memorial service will start at 3:00pm. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Kendall, NY.
