Obituary of Doris M. Eick .Doris M. Eick of Middleport passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Absolut of Gasport.
Mrs. Eick was b rn in the Town of Royalton on May 2, 1925 daughter of the late Edward and Hazel (Sim) Van Buren.
She retired from United Church Colony Home in Gasport, NY after several years of service.
She and her husband Raymond Eick were married September 6, 1947 and he predeceased her in l998.
Mrs. Eick enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and she was an avid Bills fan and she enjoyed jelly donuts.
She was predeceased by her siblings Lorraine Westcott, Alice Austin, Frank VanBuren and Morris Van Buren and her sisters-in-law Hope VanBuren, Jacklyn VanBuren, and Barbara VanBuren.
She is survived by five children Sharon (Clifton) Gibson of Gasport, Douglas (Susan) Eick of Lockport, Diane (Roger) Dutcher of Lockport, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Eick of Middleport and Debra Eick of Gasport.
Also surviving are six grandchildren Jim (Heather) Torriere of Gasport, Lynn Bork of Lockport, Dan Bork, of Akron, Ryan Eick of Gasport, Amanda (Nathaniel) Bedford of Lyndonville and Eric Eick of Lockport.
Also surviving are seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. and her siblings Grace Groff of Lockport, Jane (Francis) Broomfield of Minnesota, Duane VanBuren of Lockport,
James (Darlene) VanBuren of Florida, John (Judy) VanBuren of Iowa , Charles VanBuren of Florida., Also survived by two sisters-in-law Dora Bruning of Albion and Genevieve Eick of Medina and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Wayne Dent officiating.
