Obituary of Doris M. Sabourin Doris M. Sabourin age 85 died September 10, 2009 at St. Ann's Home in Rochester. She was born April 23, 1924 at the Champlain Valley Hospital in Plattsburg, NY where she later taught at their School of Nursing and became Hospital Administrator.
Doris received her RN in nursing from St. Catherine's School of Nursing in Brooklyn NY, her B.S. degree in Nursing from D'Youville College in Buffalo and her M.S. in Nursing Educator from Catholic University in Washington DC. She taught at the School's of Nursing at the A. Barton Heyburn Hospital in Ogdensburg NY and at D'Youville College. Doris had been a member of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart. She moved to Albion NY in 1972 where she served as a Visiting Health Nurse for Orleans County before joining the faculty of the State University of New York at Brockport in 1974, where she taught until she retired. Doris chaired the Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern Volunteers for many years.
