Dorothy S. Frank

Obituary of Dorothy S. Frank Albion: Dorothy S. “Dodo” Frank, age 91, passed away at Medina Memorial Hospital on August 23, 2016. She was born in Medina on January 4, 1925 to the late Sumner and Thelma (Payne) Sanford and would remain in the area her whole life. Dodo was an active member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and bowler and in her spare time enjoyed working outdoors. Dodo was also an avid New York Yankees fan, she never missed a game. She worked many years as a paper welder in Medina at Paperwelder, Inc. Dodo was always a very fun woman to be around and could make anyone smile and laugh. She especially loved playing with kids and her “kids, kids.” Dodo was predeceased by her husband John in 2007, sisters, Helen Maynard and Florence Pace, as well as brothers, Robert and Donald Sanford. Dodo is survived by her sisters, Betty Christopher, Delores Hackenberg, brother, William Sanford, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins and many special friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, on Monday August 29th from 11:00-1:00pm with her Memorial Service immediately following at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to Medina Memorial Hospital Transitional Care Program, 200 Ohio St. Medina, NY 14103.
