Obituary of Dorothy A. Smith (BARRE)
Dorothy A. Smith, age 86, died 12/7/10 at the Villages of Orleans where she had resided since August 17th of this year. She was born 8/18/1924 in Clarendon to Robert and Emma(Laraby)Newbould and had lived in this area all of her life. On January 1, 1944 she married Arnold Smith who died 8/6/85. Dorothy had been a factory worker for many companies including T.J. Lipton's, and Rochester Products where she retired from in 1985 after 19 years of service. Mrs. Smith enjoyed crocheting, gardening, doing cross-word puzzles and spending time with her family and large extended family. She was also a member of the Albion Rod and Gun Club. The biggest heart-break of her life was the passing of her only child, Ronald in January of 2007 at the age of 62.
