Obituary of Duane Douglas Bennett Duane Douglas Bennett, age 72, of Lockport, entered into rest on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born October 21, 1944 in Niagara Falls, Duane is the son of the late: William and Irene (Scheer) Bennett II. Duane was the husband of Jennie (Lancaster) who passed away in 2002. He served in the US Navy as a seaman. He enjoyed small engine repair, riding motorcycles and cruising in his speedboat. Duane worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport as a truck driver retiring in 2001 after over 36 years. After retirement Duane drove a tour bus for Bedore Tours. Surviving Duane are his children: Denise Bennett, Duane (Amanda) Bennett Jr. and the late Debra Phillips, his step- children: David Vosburg III, Debbie Vosburg, Ted Vosburg and Jarrod Vosburg. Also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother of the late: William Warren Bennett III and Harold Edward Bennett. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, NY on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with the Reverend David Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
