Obituary of Duane S. Delamarter Duane S. Delamarter age 81, died March 6, 2011. He was born January 12, 1930 in the Town of Greece a son of the late Floyd D. and Ethel (Burch) Delamarter. Duane had many interest throughout his life. He served in the United States Coast Guard, worked at Silver Creek Farms in Albion and then moved on to the construction workforce. There he worked up to the position of Superintendent, working for LeChase Construction for several years where he was a member of the Carpenters Union. He loved to work and found time in other interest, such as a machinist, gunsmith, masonry and a Scout Master for BSA. Upon retirement, Duane and Barbara traveled a short bit along several points of interest on the East Coast. He had a interest in airplanes and obtained his pilot license and a partnership in owning a plane. His wife also trained for her pilot license and surprised him by flying solo above him at the airport. After about a year retirement, Duane went into his own business of buying, selling and repairing sailboats. Duane continued his education and served as the Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Albion for several years. Duane was interested in horses, trees and tree grafting, as well as local history, Indian artifacts, wood working and hunting along with several other interests. Duane was outgoing, friendly and very much a people person. The one passion that was above all was his dedication and love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be sadly missed. Romans 8:28.
