Obituary of Dudley C. Huntington Dudley C. Huntington of Middleport passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Huntington was born in the Town of Somerset on January 14, 1931 son of the late Deforest and Marie (Sheriff) Huntington.
Mr. Huntington lived in Middleport for fifty years and he owned and operated M. Huntington Farms in Middleport with his wife Marlene Huntington. He also retired from Harrison Radiator Division, GMC., in l989 after 38 years of service.
He and his wife Marlene Huntington were married in l955 .
Mr. Huntington enjoyed his family, farming, refurbishing tractors and farm equipment. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, recreational vehicles, dancing and his pets- "Jack" and "Sandy".
He was a Charter Member of the Community Fellowship Church in Johnson Creek.
He was predeceased by his wife Marlene Huntington in 2003, a son Baby Dudley Huntington, a brother Norman Huntington and a sister Eleanor Huntington.
Mr. Huntington is survived by his children Darlene (Keith) Hurtgam of Gasport, Doreen (Roger) Hare of Middleport, Donna (David) Licata of Lockport, Shawn (Nancy) Huntington of Middleport and Tanya (Keith) Lasal of Lockport.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren Chad (Catherine) Hurtgam, Amanda (Tom) Detschner, Matthew Hurtgam, Eric Hare, Alyssa Hare, Kyler Hare, Deanne Licata, Andrea Licata, Libby Huntington, Jason Huntington, Hattie Lasal and Adam Lasal, five great grandchildren Jacob Hurtgam, Rachel Hurtgam, Alexzander Detschner, Madelyn Detschner and Adler Detschner.
Also surviving are his siblings Floyd (Alice) Huntington of Medina, Carl (Carolyn) Huntington of Middleport, Sharon (Lawrence) Wolfe of Florida and Joyce (the late Richard) Johnson of Medina and a sister-in-law Nancy Huntington of Middleport. and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Community Fellowship Church in Johnson Creek with the Rev. Roy Harringer officiating.
Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
Memorials to the Community Fellowship Church or Medina Memorial Healthcare Center would be appreciated by the Huntington family.
