Obituary of Edith E. Hardiman Hoefer Edith “Edie” E. Hoefer (Hardiman), age 70, of Newfane, entered into rest on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born September 24, 1942 in Lockport, she is the daughter of the late Marvin and Catherine (Heschke) Hardiman. Edie married Ernest “Ernie” Hoefer July 21, 1962 in Lockport. Ernie died December 23, 2005. She had worked as a home health aide in private homes for a number of years. She was a member of the Lockport United Church of Christ and enjoyed making crafts. Edie had lived in Newfane since 1997, previously of Lockport. Wife of the late: Ernest “Ernie” Hoefer. Dearest mother of: Kevin (Becky) Hoefer of Olcott. Loving grandmother of: Sydney and Megan. Best friend of Arlene Gebo of Newfane. Sister of: Sharon Roberto of Barker, Gary (Cathy) Hardiman of Johnson Creek, Thomas Hardiman of Lockport and the late Carl Heschke and Linda Tauro. Edie is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am with the Reverend Steven Hall officiating. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY. Memorials appreciated to Lockport United Church of Christ, 98 East Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094.
