Obituary of Edmund P. DePalma Mr. DePalma was born April 29, 1925 in Albion, a son of Madesto and Theodora (Monacelli) DePalma; he resided there until 1943 when he entered the U.S. Army during World War II. He graduated from Albion High School and then entered the Army Air Corps, finishing at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He earned a B.S. degree in chemistry at Michigan State University in 1950, followed by employment in middle management at Ford Motor Company for 30 years in the Engineering Materials Science Department. Mr. DePalma was a life member of the V.F.W., the Society of Automotive Engineers (S.A.E.), the Society of Plastics Engineers and the Division of Rubber and Plastics of the American Chemical Society. He was also a parish member of St. Josephs R.C. Church and an avid golfer for many years.
