Obituary of Edward Jacob Pahura Edward passed away on February 7, 2018 at The Villages of Orleans in Albion, NY. Edward was born on October 13, 1923 in Albion, NY where he was a resident all of his life. He married Loretta Long on July 15, 1945. They celebrated 72 years of marriage together. Edward served in the United States Army during World War II. He served as a Corporal and Marksman in the Normandy invasion on D-Day. He worked as a shop mechanic specialist at Lipton until it’s closing in 1980. He finished his career at Eastman Kodak. Edward was a member of the Moose Club for many years. Edward loved his boat that he affectionately named “Lorrie” after his wife, fishing, gardening, vacationing with his family, and the NY Yankees. Edward’s wife, Loretta V. (Long) Pahura, joined him in heaven on February 9, 2018. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Valeria Pahura; sister, Rita Pahura; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Peter Scibetta; brother, Thomas Pahura; brother and sister-in-law John and Dorothy Pahura. Edward is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Carson) Meyers; son, Gary (Veronica) Pahura; son, Steven (Debbie) Pahura; grandchildren, Gary (Deborah) Pahura, Melinda Swallows, Rhonda (Wayne) Moyer, Nicole (David) Rappleyea, and Jason Pahura; sister-in-law, Corinne Pahura; along with nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Edward and Loretta’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday February 15th at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church – Holy Family Parish. Burial will be at Mount Albion Cemetery.
