Obituary of Elizabeth L. Allen Elizabeth L. Allen of Middleport passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Medina, NY. Mrs. Allen was born in the Town of Gaines on November 21, 1919 daughter of the late Harold and Eva (Shaff) Mahnke. She was employed at Harrison Radiator for eleven years retiring in l977. Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her husband Clifford L. Allen in l998, two sons Paul Allen in l959 and Howard Allen in 2013; a grandson Neil Allen and by three brothers Arnold Mahnke, Arthur Mahnke and Carl Mahnke. Mrs. Allen is survived by a son Harold (Margaret) Allen and a daughter Carol (Douglas) Herriven all of Middleport, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, a brother Donald (Brenda) Mahnke of Middleport and several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services Monday at 11:00 AM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. The Rev. James Knapp will officiate and burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Allen family.
