Obituary of Elizabeth C. Bowe Howell Elizabeth C. Howell, (nee Bowe) age, 90, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 2, 2012 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane. Born April 18, 1922 in Lynn, Massachusetts, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen (nee Hines) Bowe. Elizabeth graduated from Lynn English High School in Massachusetts. She married Eugene Howell May 10, 1943 in Norfolk, VA. Mr. Howell died May 24, 1990. She had worked as a cook at Quaker Bonnet Bakery in Buffalo, retiring in 1987. She was the best mom in the world: Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her (proverbs 31:28). She enjoyed sewing, bowling, reading and cooking. Elizabeth especially enjoyed eating tomato sandwiches. She had lived in Lockport for the past 15 years, previously of Buffalo. Surviving are her children: Jeanne (Daniel) Helferty of Newfane, William (Zona) Howell of Edmonds, WA, Gary (Candice) Howell of Lockport, Janice Howell of Lockport, Beverly (Christopher) Karbum of Ventura, CA, Michael (Judy) Howell of Arlington, WA, David (Lisa) Howell of Anaheim, CA. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judy Ann Howell. Sister of: Robert Bowe of Lynn, MA and the late Frank Bowe. 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive Elizabeth. She was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Pudlewski. A dear friend, Marie Bavisotto, also survives Elizabeth. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 2- 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 am with the Reverend Jozef Dudzik officiating. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY.
