Obituary of Elizabeth J. Jennings (Rochester/Albion) Elizabeth J. “Betty” Jennings age 84 died July 18, 2016 at the Martin Linsin Residence following a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born November 25, 1931 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Louis and Hildegarde (Oberlies) Hohman and had lived in this area for the past 7 years. Betty had attended Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church. She had worked as a bank teller at Rochester Community Savings Bank. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending her time with her family. She loved to shop, go to the casino and spending time with her friends at the Academy Street Apartments. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1997; her brothers Rev. Louis Hohman, Robert (Dolores) Hohman; sister Joan (Don) Werner. She is survived by her children Kathleen (Jack Howell) Jennings of GA, Karen (Mark) Jennings-Pierce of TX, Thomas (Tracy) Jennings of Albion; grandchildren Tim (Whitney), Thomas (Erica), Trevor (Casey), Casey and Harris Pierce; great-grandchildren Theo and Taylor Jennings; sisters-in-law Linda Keefe of FL, Billie Ryan of WI; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Friday 2-4 & 7-9. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 601 Edgewood Ave. Rochester NY 14618. Interment will be in White Haven Cemetery.
