Obituary of Elizabeth Peters (West Barre) Elizabeth "Liz" A. Peters age 91 of W. Barre Rd. died January 29, 2013 at Genesee County Nursing Home in Batavia. She was born May 14, 1921 in W. Barre, a daughter of the late Homer and Alena Mary (Bragg) Waldo and had lived in this area all of her life. She was an active member of the West Barre United Methodist Church for over 80 years. Liz was a stay at home mom, where she was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Liz was predeceased by her husband Ned in 1981; her sister Helen Carr; step-sister Betty Hakes; son-in-law Ron Polick. She is survived by her 7 daughters Doreen Peters of Pittsford, Sherry (Mark) Bernreuther of Hilton, Carla (Jack) Rathbun of Webster, Joan Peters of W. Barre, Wendy Peters Polick of Holley, Toni (George) Mills of Basom, Juliette (Eric) Phelps of Corfu; grandchildren Dane, Megan Rathbun, Brad, Kim, Kerry Mills, Rachel (Shawn) Bowman, Erica, Matthew, Geoffrey Phelps; great-grandson Avery Bowman; brother Wilbur (Delores) Parsons of CA; sister-in-law Grace Allen of W. Barre; many nieces and nephews. There are no prior calling hours. Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday February 9th at 11:00am at the West Barre United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the W. Barre United Methodist Church. Arrangements were completed by the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc.
