Obituary of Elizabeth Mae Poehlmann Elizabeth Mae Britt Poehlmann Age 79 died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, New York Born January 14, 1934 at her homestead of Bigford Road, Medina, New York. She was daughter of the late Oran Bruce and Ethel Mae ( Helsdon ) Britt. Guardianship to Alice (Kitty) Beck. Mrs. Poehlmann graduated from Lyndonville High School with honors, major of business. She attended Rochester Business Institute (RBI) with an Associate Degree in business. Betty was an RBI Rockette and traveled the state of New York in l952 leading her squad as captain. She had worked at Bausch and Lomb in Rochester, New York, as a secretary Betty enjoyed her family, flower gardening, canning vegetables and bingo. She was a 4-H Leader. She and Lenny were members of the Medina Moose Lodge. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Leonhard Poehlmann in l998, whom she married August 27, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Medina, NY. She is survived by her three daughters Deborah (Fred) Freeman of Barker, Diane (Martin) Wilson of Chicago, Illinois and Margaret (Michael) Cleary of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and son Christoph Poehlmann of Lyndonville. Ten grandchildren; Rachel (Chuck) Pisarski, Brad (SarahBeth) Caleb, Michael Leonhard Caleb, Alexandra Poehlmann, Jonathan Poehlmann, Amanda Wilson, Cassandra Wilson, Martin Tucker Wilson, Brandon Cleary and Brooke Cleary. Seven greatgrandchildren; Carter and Rebecca Pisarski, Chloe, Gavin, Macy Mae, Lilah Isabella and RaeAnna Caleb. Two special relatives; Jean Chatt and Betty (Robert) Garrett of Medina. Many nephews and nieces. There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
