Obituary of Ellen R. Banach (Middleport/Albion) Ellen R. Banach, 78, passed away at her daughter’s home in Albion on Thursday June 14, 2018. Ellen was born August 27, 1939 in Lockport, NY a daughter of the late Russell and Eva (Fritton) Metcalf. Ellen was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish/St. Stephen’s Worship Site and was also the First Communion Teacher for over 20 years. Ellen loved walking with her dog KC, camping, reading, crossword puzzles and baking, but most importantly spending time with family. She was generous with her time and had worked as an aide with children with special needs. She was predeceased by her son, Andrew Banach and husband Frederick “Fred” Banach. Ellen is survived by her loving children, Lawrence (Ingrid) Banach, Christopher (Kristen) Banach, Thomas (Marie) Banach, Sandra (Robert, Jr.) Williams, Karen (Ross Johnstone) Williams, Mary Beth Banach; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Metcalf and sister, Linda (Douglas) Arnold; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Middleport on Monday June 18th from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Ellen’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 19th at 9:30am at Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph’s Church, W. Park St. ALBION. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O.
