Obituary of Ellen May Germeo Holley: Ellen May (Conn) Germeo, age 87, passed away on May 5, 2018 at the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence. She was born June 20, 1930 in Hubbard, OH, to the late Alfred and Mary (Magee) Conn, Sr. and moved to Holley in August of 1930. Ellen was a graduate of Holley High School in 1949. She married her late husband, Angelo Peter Germeo in 1950 and would remain married until his passing in 2000. She worked for GE from 1949-1966 and was a school bus driver for the Holley Central School District from 1966-2001. In 1970 she went back to school and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts. Ellen was a life member of the NRA, an active member in the Cobblestone Society, the Holley Fire Auxiliary since 1953, the Holley Rod and Gun Club, as well as Ducks Unlimited. She also was a longtime active member, and past Warden of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Holley. Over the years, Ellen and her sister, Geraldine spent time travelling all over, visiting Alaska, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, California and South Dakota. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Alfred Conn, Jr., Richard Conn, Sr., Geraldine Conn, Luella Conn, and nephew Stephen Conn. Ellen is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lawrence (Karen) Conn, Wayne (Mary Ellen) Conn, Diane (Roy) Wegman, Harold (Debra) Germeo, Jr., Richard (Jean) Conn, Jr., Linda (Tim) Corbin, Ann (Richard) Tower, Lydia DeVincolis, as well as several great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley on Tuesday, May 8th from 12:00-2:00pm where her funeral service will follow at 2:00pm.
