Obituary of Elsie Swanger Elsie I. Swanger age 90, died October 12, 2012 at The Villages of Orleans. She was born April 10, 1922 in Brockport a daughter of the late Chancey & Jenny (Andrews) Bird. Elsie was a homemaker and was kept busy raising her children. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, bingo, crocheting, cards, puzzles and had also made several quilts.
She was predeceased by her husband Paul. She is survived by her children; Laverne (Barbara) of CA, Larry (Brenda) of Clarendon, Lee (Judy) of Mt. Morris, Lynn (Carolyn Sudduth) Gerew of PA, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brother Chancey Bird Jr. several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Villages of Orleans Patient Activity Fund or Brockport Fire Dept. Visitation
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00-1:00 the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 16650 Rte. 31 Holley Services
Wednesday 1:00 at the Funeral Home. Interment
