Obituary of Emma J. Kenyon Emma J. Kenyon age 101 went home to be with Jesus following a brief illness on April 28, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 17, 1917 in Albion, a daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Newton) Edwards and had lived in this area all of her life. Emma had a strong faith and was a member of the Oak Orchard Assembly of God in Medina. She loved spending time with her family and always wanted to know what her family and friends were doing. Emma appreciated a good meal and loved to go to Nutri-Fair. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, house plants, cooking, baking piesand loved her sweets and cat Rosie. She had worked for many years as an Inspector at T. J. Lipton’s, retiring from there in 1978, and after, spent many happy years traveling and camping with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband’s Peter L. Gormley and Donald H. Kenyon; granddaughter Amy Marie Lusk, her grandson Trey Downey and her sister Erma Snyder; step-children Tom Gormley, Margaret McAvoy, Mary Wagner, Nancy Spedding, Ed Gormley and their spouses. She is survived by her daughters Anne (Bill) Downey of Albion, Pat (Frank Fiannaca) Lusk of Albion; her son Daniel (Nona) Gormley of Elbridge NY; step-daughters Patricia Smith of PA, Donna (Bill) Smith of NJ and their families;grandchildren Benjamin Downey, Jeremy (Becky McKiephan) Downey, Jesse Downey, Elissa (Jeremy) Rowley, Lindsey Downey, Carrie (Jerod) Bias, Jen (Dan) Schildt, Melanie (Travis McAdoo) Lusk, Amanda (Muhammad) Wada, Peter Gormley; great-grandchildren Christian Wolk, Colin Downey, Cassidy Downey, Karina Rotoli, Cameron Rowley, Shade Downey, Keaton Rowley, Eliza Wada, Zyad Wada, Ronin Bias, Max Downey, Daniel Schildt, Eddie Schildt, Brandon Bias;brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Barb Kenyon as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins, loving step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Oak Orchard Assembly of God, 1211 Ridge Rd. Medina NY 14103 on Wednesday May 2nd 9:00am-11:00am where her Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am.
