Eugene C Salviski

Obituary of Eugene C Salviski Albion- Eugene C. Salviski "Gene", 87, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia. He was the son of Dimitri and Victoria (Pawelczyk) Salviski and has been a lifetime resident of Albion. He was a WWII Army Veteran and has worked for Dewitt and Keeler Construction Companies. Gene was a member of the former Albion Hook and Ladder Company, Lifetime Member of the Albion Fire Department, VFW Post #4635 , American Legion Sheret Post #35. In his spare time he enjoyed the youth baseball programs and could always be seen driving around town to see what was going on here or there. He is survived by a Sister in law, Florence Salviski of FL; family and friends. He is predeceased by Sisters, Rosalie Duk, Helen Vickner, Estelle Jankowski, Lottie Salwicka, Isabel Dragon; Brothers, James and John Salviski. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 5-8pm at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St., Albion. A mass of christian burial will be on Wednesday at 10am at Holy Family Parish. Father Richard Csizmar will officiate and military honors will follow immediately after mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
