Eva K Quintern

(LOCKPORT) Eva K. “Kathy” Quintern, age 76, died February 5, 2023 in Absolute Care of Gasport. She was born August 8, 1946 in Altoona, PA to William and Eva (Smith) Thomas and had lived in this area for many years.

Kathy was a member of the Hess Road Wesleyan Church, a 1965 graduate of Barker Central School, and a graduated as a Beautician from the Adele Allen Beauty School in Altoona, PA in 1968. She enjoyed crafts and being with people and also worked as a driver for Hutchins Auto. She also worked as a housekeeper for the former Newfane Hospital and Newfane Health Care Center. She also had worked as a respite provider at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center for many years. She also belonged to the AARP and the United Way. Kathy enjoyed handiwork and donated many hand crocheted items to different charity groups.

Ms. Quintern was predeceased by her parents and her brothers: John and William Thomas. She is survived by her son: Thomas Hollenbaugh of Lockport, her sisters: Grace Ann “Dimpy” (Vaughn) Renwick of SC, Mary Elizabeth (Thomas) Gall of VA, grandchildren: Gage, Lucas and Hailey Hollenbaugh, as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. Private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial at the convenience of the family in East Lawn Cemetery in Tyrone, PA. Kathy’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport.
