Evelyn M. Bloom, age 88, formerly of Hamilton Street, died January 12, 2009 in The Villages of Orleans following a short illness. She was born February 23, 1920 in Albion to Otto and Ora Schmachpfeffer and was a lifetime resident of this area. Mrs. Bloom was a 13 year employee of T.J. Lipton Co. retiring in 1980. She had attended the Gilette Road Country School in Town of Barre. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, working with plants and flowers, and was a great cook. She'll be remembered by many as being very family oriented.
