Evelyn J. Elsenheimer (Kill)

(Gasport) Evelyn Jane (Kill) Elsenheimer was born January 16, 1929 and passed away October 23rd, 2022.

She married Edward J. Elsenheimer (deceased) April 7, 1951. They had 4 children, Irene (Peter) Fadden, Shirley (Douglas) White, Theodore (Nancy) Elsenheimer, and Donna (David) Mills. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Joyce Elsenheimer and brothers-in-law Jesse DeMerle Elsenheimer and Donald (Eleanor) Elsenheimer.

Her legacy was teaching by example how to be a loving and kind person.  She was a wife, mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a friend, a scout leader, a volunteer.  She showed her love to everyone she met.  She was loved by all that knew her.  She will be missed.

Evelyn received a dietician degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. She managed several meal sites with RSVP and the Salvation army in Niagara and Orleans Counties. She was active in church, worshiping and serving others at Orangeport United Church of Christ, Covenant United Church of Christ, and St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Perkinsville.  She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Chapter 153 of Gasport.

Evelyn’s Order of the Eastern Star Service will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 10:30am followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00am at the Covenant United Church of Christ, 4449 Main St, Gasport, NY. Burial will be held at Hartland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Buffalo, NY 14227. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, Gasport, NY.
