Obituary of Evelyn H. Wagner Wagner, Evelyn H. of Gasport passed away Thursday afternoon, August 18, 2011 at Niagara Hospice House.
Mrs. Wagner was born in the Town of Royalton on July 6, 1925 daughter of the late Joseph and Selma (Mietz) Heim.
She was a lifelong resident of the Royalton area and was a graduate of Akron High School.
She and her husband Harold F. Wagner were married June 17, 1950 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville.
She was employed as the Office Manager for over fifty years for A.A. Nodine Insurance.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir at St. Michael's and was a long time member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
She was aslo a member of the Wolcottsville Senior Citizens and the Town of Royalton Historical Society.
Mrs. Wagner was an avid gardener, enjoyed euchre and she was involved in all of her nieces and nephews lives-always remembering every birthday, anniversary or special occasion.
Mrs. Wagner was predeceased by two sisters Pearl Voelker and Mavis Mullen, a niece Joanne Dent, a great newhew Billy Mullen and a brother-in-law Richard Voelker.
Loving wife of 61 years to Harold F. Wagner, beloved aunt to Charles (Anita) Mullen of New Jersey, William (Belinda) Mullen of Lockport, Linda (Donald) Lorentz of Orchard Park, Joseph (Tracy) Mullen of Lockport, Michael (Cathy) Mullen of Texas and Douglas Voelker of Lockport Also surviving are several great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport and Monday from 10AM to 11AM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville where funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Bruce Donley and the Rev. Matt Dent officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
