Obituary of F. Thomas Tatarka F. Thomas Tatarka, age 69, of Gasport, entered into rest at his home on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Born June 18, 1941 in Batavia, he was the son of the late Eleanor Agnes and Francis T. Tatarka. Mr. Tatarka was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Batavia. Francis had been married to Ethel (Bidleman) for 32 years. He worked in automobile sales for Keller Chevrolet in Ransomville retiring in 2006. He had previously worked at Heinrich Chevrolet in Lockport. He was past Exalted Ruler of the Eks Lodge in Lockport and a Eucharistic Minister at St. John’s R.C. Church. He enjoyed C-B radio, ship in shore radio, and computers. He also loved cats. He had lived in Gasport the past 30 years, previously of Niagara Falls, NY. He is survived by his wife Ethel (Bidleman) Tatarka. Step father of: Thomas Butler of Getzville and James (Jackie) butler of Havlock, NC. Brother of: Robert N. (Joani) Tatarka of Batavia and Patricia Ann (Charles) Messina of Batavia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Friday, May 6, 20911 from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, may 7, 2011 from St. Joseph’s R.C. church, 303 East main Street, Batavia at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s R.C. Cemetery, Batavia, NY.
