Obituary of Florence B. Miller Florence B. Miller age 83 died October 30, 2016 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Medina following a long illness. She was born December 26, 1932 in Albion, a daughter of the late William and Maude (Haight) Birch and had lived in this area all of her life. Florence was a member of the Carlton United Methodist Church where she had worked many of their church dinners. She had retired from the Orleans County Nursing Home where she had worked as a nurse’s aide for 25 years. After she retired, Florence went to Orleans Niagara BOCES, working in their day care center. She was a member of the Carlton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and she volunteered at Hospice of Orleans. Florence loved bingo, traveling and trips to the casino. She was predeceased by her brother Fred Birch and her sister Wilma Birch. Florence is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles; her sons Frederick Miller of Waterport, Frank Miller of Waterport; granddaughter Sarah (John) Cassidy; great-grandchildren Emily and Brayden Cassidy; brother Willis Birch of Medina; sisters-in-law Beverly Downey of Holley, Lois (Richard) Preston of Albion and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no prior calling hours. Her Memorial Service will be held Friday at 11:00am at the Carlton United Methodist Church, 1196 Archbald Rd. Waterport NY 14571.
