Obituary of Floyd A. Huntington Floyd A. Huntington of Medina passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Buffalo General Hospital. Mr. Huntington was born in the Town of Somerset on December 17, 1926 son of the late DeForest and Anna Marie (Sheriff) Huntington and he has lived in the Medina area most of his life and attended school in Lyndonville. Mr. Huntington and his wife Alice (Roberts) Huntington were married April 19, 1952. He was employed as a truck driver for Lapp Express in Medina, NY and is also worked for farms in the Gasport area including the Silsby farm in Gasport. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, bingo and bowling. He was predeceased by his siblings Eleanor Huntington, Norman Huntington and Dudley Huntington. He is survived by his wife Alice Huntington, siblings Carl (Carolyn) Huntington of Middleport, Joyce Johnson of Medina and Sharon (Larry) Wolfe of Lakeland, Florida, four sisters-in-law Nancy Huntington of Middleport, Mary Fritz of Newfane, Ellen (Robert) Ranney of Lockport, Patricia Wright of Virginia, a brother-in-law Michael Roberts Jr., of Lockport and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 4 PM to 8PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls officiating. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to the Medina Fire Rescue or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Huntington family.
