Floyd A. Zaepfel

(GASPORT) Floyd A. Zaepfel, age 78, died March 23, 2023 in Select Specialty Hospital in Erie, PA. He was born August 12, 1944 in Buffalo to Floyd M. and Thelma C. (Danitz) Zaepfel and was a life-long resident of this area.

Floyd was a member of the Community Fellowship Church in Johnson Creek, the NRA, Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was very family oriented and took great joy in supporting his children and great grandchildren in all their endeavors including their sporting events…as well as those of their friends.

Mr. Zaepfel was predeceased by a sister: Carol Keitz. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Peggy, his children: Anne Marie (Jim) Sherwin of Lyndonville, Allen (Kristine) Zaepfel of Wilson, Jennifer (Jim) Pierce of East Aurora, Eleanor (Andrew) Alt of Appleton, Emily Zaepfel of Gasport, Marguerite Zaepfel of WI, his brothers: John Zaepfel of Amherst, Albert Zaepfel of Youngstown, Charles Zaepfel of Webster, his sisters: Susan Huber of FL, Eileen Dagonese of Buffalo, Nancy Keller of Tonawanda, Thelma Abbatte of Amherst, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St.-Gasport, WEDNESDAY from 5-8 pm only. Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service THURSDAY 10 am in the Community Fellowship Church, 3144 Johnson Creek Rd., Middleport, NY, 14105. Interment will follow in Hartland Central Cemetery.
