Obituary of Francis Nayman (ALBION)
Francis S. Nayman, age 76 of Brown Road, died suddenly 12/12/2014. He was born 1/24/1938 in Albion to Frank and Marie(Romanowski)Nayman and was a lifetime resident of this area. Mr. Nayman was a Veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves, a member of Holy Family Parish, a graduate of RIT, and retired as an Engineer from RG&E. Fran was the Owner/Operator of Nayman's Garage since 1959 and was a well know figure in Local Democratic Politics having served many years on the Orleans County Democratic Committee. As a Public Servant, he served on the Orleans County Board of Supervisors in the late 70's and then served as an Orleans County Legislator for 1 term in the early 80's. Mr. Nayman also served as a Village of Albion Trustee, and for many years held the Office of Supervisor for the Town of Albion. Fran was also a former member of the Oak Orchard Yacht Club where he taught boating and was very active in his community on various committees and in many organizations including the Albion Fire Department Hart Hose Company. He truly enjoyed socializing and spending time with people as well as helping out where and when he could. He is survived by his cousins: Donald(Florence)Skinner of Batavia, Robert(Jane)Skinner of FL and John Nayman formerly of Brockport. There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Fran's Mass of Christian Burial SATURDAY JANUARY 3, 2015 at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church beginning at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors in St. Joseph's Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans or a charity of your choice. Arrangements were made by Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc.-Albion. Visitation
