Obituary of Francis Ray Barre: Francis "Tom" Ray age 73, died suddenly December 23, 2013. He was born May 8, 1940 in Whitesville NY a son of the late Francis and Lottie (Slocum) Ray and had lived in this area since 1963. Tom had served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961. He enjoyed woodworking, baking and was able to fix just about anything. Tom was a retired truck driver for Carlton and Stubing in Churchville.
He was predeceased by his son Ronald; sisters, Lucy, Bernice, Mary. He is survived his wife Sandra; children, Francis P. Ray of Springwater, Kevin M.(Jennifer)Ray of Barre, Daniel J. (Brenda) Ray of Gates, Terri L. (Frank Yacono) Ray of Clarendon, Joshua M. Ray of Barre; 8 grandchildren, special great-granddaughter, Pyper and several other great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine (Don) Armbruster of AZ., Veronica Clayson of FL., several nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Friday, December 27, 2013 from 11:00-1:00, where his Funeral Service will follow at 1:00. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans. Visitation
