Obituary of Frank R Carbon Holley-
Frank Carbon passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the age of 96. He was born in Hulberton, NY the son of Frank and Esterine Carbone and has been a lifetime resident of the area. He was a graduate of Butler University and a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was a World War II Veteran who served Twenty seven months in New Guinea and the Philippines Islands. He was a member of the Jewell Buckman Post 529 and enjoyed traveling to Ireland, Italy, and Russia. Frank was an avid bowler and golfer and had 3 hole-in-ones. He is survived by dear friend, Peggy Look; many Nieces, Nephews and friends. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Prayer service on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 39 Geddes St., Holley at 4pm with calling hours following until 7pm. . Interment will be in Holy Cross at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450 and the Holley Fire Dept. 7 Tomas St., Holley, NY 14470.
