Obituary of Gary E. DeFrank (Kendall) Gary E. DeFrank age 77, died January 5, 2017 at his home following a long illness. He was born March 27, 1939 in Holley, a son of the late Joseph and Florence (Townsend) DeFrank, Sr. and had lived in this area all of his life. Gary had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an Honorable Life Member of the American Legion Jewell Buckman Post #529 of Holley and served as Past Commander from 1991-1992. Gary was also County Commander for the American Legion from 1992-1993, he was nominated Legionnaire of the year from 1990-1991 and had also served as Past Chairman for the Boys State for the American Legion. He had retired as a clerk from the Holley Post Office and was an avid coin collector. He was predeceased by his son Kevin. Gary is survived by his sons Jeffrey (Denise P. Wood) DeFrank of Brockport, Glenn (Kimberly) DeFrank of Holley; granddaughters Kasey and Erin; sister Madelyn Welsh; brothers Joseph (Beryl) DeFrank, Dale (Ellen)DeFrank, Roger (Kathy) DeFrancesco, Scott DeFrancesco and Todd DeFrank; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rte. 31 Holley Tuesday January 17th 11am-1pm where his Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm.
