Gary L. Eick

(GASPORT/MIDDLEPORT)

Gary L. Eick, age 81, died December 24, 2024 in Buffalo General Hospital. He was born November 27, 1943 in Medina to Loren and Lydia (Frisch) Eick and was a life-long resident of this area.

Gary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and was a Volunteer Fireman for the Gasport Chemical Hose Co. He enjoyed archery, camping, fishing, hunting and woodworking. Gary loved the Buffalo Bills and all his Fur-babies…especially “Tilly”. Mr. Eick was predeceased by two brothers: Eugene and David Eick.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marguerite ‘Peggy” Eick, his children: Timothy Eick of Buffalo, Cori (Kevin) Krause of Newfane, Christine (James) Barmann of North Tonawanda, 3 grandchildren: Kyle, Matthew, Connor as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street-Middleport, MONDAY 12/30 from 3-6 pm only. Family and friends are invited to attend Gary’s Funeral Service, TUESDAY 12/31 in Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Avenue, Gasport, NY, 14067 beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.
