Obituary of George B. Cox Albion: George B. Cox, 88, passed away June 12, 2019 surrounded by his loving family in the Buffalo VA. George was born February 17, 1931 in Camden On Gauley, West Virginia, a son of the late Edward Garfield and Sarah (Fletcher) Cox. He served in the United States Army (SCARWAF) from 1948-1952 and was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion. George was a member of F&AM Renovation Lodge #97, Order of the Eastern Star CanalsideChapter #381 and Orleans County Boots and Saddle Club. He was a pilot for the Civil Air Patrol, Auxiliary Sheriff for the Orleans County Sheriff Dept. and also worked on the Marine Patrol. George was a former employee of General Electric and retired from Eastman Kodak Co. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 1/2 years, Helen (Redinger); children, James(Mary) Cox, Stephen (Kristi) Cox, William Cox, Terry (Sammy) Cox, David (Lori) Cox; grandchildren, Jimmy, Shane, Stephen Jr., Scott, Shelby, Crystal (Shawn) Woodward, William (Jeanne) Steffen, Devin, Brayden; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Marie Woodward, Ellie, Emily and Sophie Steffen, Issac and Brittney, Rachel, Courtney and Ayden; several nieces, nephews, cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion on Tuesday June 18, from 11:00-1:00, followed by his Masonic Service, Memorial Service and Military Honors at the funeral home.
