George W. More

Obituary of George W. More George W. More Jr., age 85, of Clarence, NY, formerly of North Syracuse, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Absolut at Gasport. Born December 25, 1926 in Clay, New York, he is the son of the late George and Nina (Quackenbush) More Sr. George served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He served from March 4, 1944 until June 14, 1946. George had worked at St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse as a perfusionist. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter, camper and golfer. He is survived by his children: Kathleen (Brian) Sutter of Gasport and Sean (Mary) More of Warren, RI. 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive George. He was predeceased by his wife: Elaine LaDuc More, a son: Steven More and siblings: John “Maynard”, Norma and Gertrude. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm with the Reverend Matt Rose officiating.
