George B. Murray

Obituary of George B. Murray George B. Murray, age 84 of Brown Street, died 8/8/11 in Strong Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. George was born 10/26/1926 in Albion to Curtis and Mary(Miller)Murray and was a lifetime resident of this area. Mr. Murray was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Gaines Carlton Community Church, The Active Hose Company of the Albion Fire Department and the Albion Fire Department Fire Police. He retired from the NYS Dept. of Corrections where he was a Stationary Engineer. Prior to his service with the State he worked for the Railroad?which is where he developed his love for trains. Following his retirement from the State, Mr. Murray worked for over 17 years at Nayman's Small Engine Garage in Albion where he retired in 2008. George also liked to hunt and repair clocks.
