George T. White

Obituary of George T. White (MIDDLEPORT/GREECE) George T. White, age 89, formerly of Middleport, died December 23, 2020 in Unity Hospital following a brief illness. He was born August 10, 1931 in Middleport to George M. and Hazel (Wolfe) White and had lived in this area for most of his life. George was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Middleport American Legion Post #938, former member of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, The Holy Name Society, and current member of St. Mark’s R.C. Church in Greece. He worked as a systems analyst for FMC and in earlier years he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, enjoyed traveling and camping and was also a sports enthusiast. Mr. White is survived by his wife of 68 years Teresa, his children: Pat Scarbinsky of Greece, George (Marleen) White of Middleport, Stewart White of Middleport, James (Kendra) White of IL, his brother: Robert White of VA, his grandchildren: Katie (Trevor), Sandra, Justin (Lisa), Alee, Ben, Michelle (Drew), Bruce, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. There will be no calling hours. George’s service and interment will be held in the Spring along with military honors.
