George T. Witkop, age 82 of Johnny Cake Lane, died 8/4/2010 in Lakeside Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born 8/29/1927 in Buffalo to John and Irene(Zapf)Witkop and had lived in this area over 55 years. Mr. Witkop was a self employed farmer and also made furniture for many years. In addition, George was a member of the Barre Fire Department.
