Obituary of Gerald Douglas Fuller (Gasport) Gerald Douglas “Gerry” “Poppy” Fuller age 76 died April 29, 2021 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. He was born December 17, 1944 in Medina, a son of the late Walter and Gertrude (Grimes) Fuller and had lived in this area all of his life. Gerry graduated from Roy-Hart High School in 1964 and then served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a member and Past Commander of the Gasport American Legion #425 Herbert Carr Post. He was a member and one of the founders of the Hartland Volunteer Fire Company where he also served as treasurer, fire police and worked bingo. He and his wife Carol were members of the Johnson Creek Seniors and the Barker Seniors. Gerry enjoyed playing horseshoes, dominoes, word puzzles and playing cards, especially euchre at the Hartland Conservation Club. He worked at Upson in Lockport for over 35 years; starting as a tow motor operator and working his way up to boiler engineer, and after their closing, he was a truck driver for GOD and then Relco. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Charles and Walter. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; daughter Annette (Todd) Carpenter; son Scott (Angela) Fuller; grandchildren Jordan, Brandon and Alyssa Fuller, Lukas Koller, Patrick Carpenter; brothers William Fuller, Lawrence (Karen) Fuller; sister Evelyn (Clifford) Johnston; sisters-in-law Judy and Pat Fuller; special friend Tom (Annette) Meaney; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Ave., Gasport NY 14067 Saturday May 22nd 1-2pm where his Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm.
