Obituary of Gerald R. Porter (Gasport) Gerald R. Porter age 81 passed away in peace on November 22, 2020. He was born September 26, 1939 in Lockport, the third son of the late Raymond and Minerva (Baldwin) Porter. Gerald was a loyal GM retiree and spent time enjoying woodworking, tractor restoration and farming. He was a member of the John Deere Two Cylinder Club. Gerald was a Boy Scout Leader for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, riding his motorcycle and traveling. Gerald joined his wife Marge; his oldest son Gerry; great-grandson Gerry; brothers Ron, Kenneth, Robert (Judy). He is survived by his son James (Susie) Porter; his daughter Deborah (Michael) Horton; step-daughters Sandy (Terry) Lund, Terri (Steve) Keenan; 18 grandchildren; a tribe of great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law Nella Porter as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. His Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday November 25th at 11:00am at Quaker Road United Methodist Church, 2800 Quaker Rd., Gasport NY 14067. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the organization of one’s choice. Gerald’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, Gasport. New York State requires those in attendance to adhere to the social distancing guidelines and face coverings are mandatory.
