Geraldine "Vella" Rudes

Obituary of Geraldine (Vella) Rudes Geraldine V. Rudes age 85, died November 10, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born November 8, 1926 in Albion a daughter of the late Salvatore & Mary (Musso) Vella. Geraldine was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church and was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She graduated from Buffalo State College with a teaching degree and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She began teaching in Speculator NY from 1948-1949, where she met her husband William in 1948. They were married April 15, 1950 at St. Joseph's Church in Albion. In 1952 Geraldine and William moved to Albion where she taught for over 25 years retiring in 1981. Upon retirement they spent their winters in Florida and summers in Albion.
