Obituary of Gertrude M. Baldwin Dettmer Gertrude M. Dettmer (Baldwin), age 91, entered into rest at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane, Sunday, May 5, 2013. Born June 6, 1921 in Lockport, Gert is the daughter of the late Raymond and Christine (Suttell) Baldwin. Gert married Wilbert “Bill” Dettmer August 31, 1940 in Somerset. Bill died November 10, 1986. She had worked at Newfane Central Schools as a custodian for 10 years retiring in 1983. Besides her husband, Bill, Gert was predeceased by siblings: Eleanor Zastrow, Ruth Zastrow, Ninerva Porter and Raymond Baldwin. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and .many dear friends. There will be no prior visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery, Gasport, NY.
