Obituary of Gladys Drought (BARRE)
Gladys M. Drought, age 96 formerly of Oak Orchard Road, died 8/23/2014 in The Villages of Orleans following a brief illness. She was born 8/6/1918 in Carlton to Albert and Berladine(Draper)Stymus and had lived in this area all of her life. Gladys was a former member of the West Barre United Methodist Church, a member of the Albion Senior Citizens Group, and enjoyed ceramics and especially flower gardening. Mrs. Drought was predeceased by her husband Jason, her son Jason, her brother Floyd Stymus and her sisters: Eleanor Krowl and Velma Wood. She is survived by her daughter Sharon(Gary)Leo of Scottsville, her brother Edward Stymus of Albion, 2 grandchildren: Melissa(Anthony)Luis, Jeffrey Leo, great grandchildren: Calista and Jack Luis as well as several niece and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, FRIDAY 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. where her Funeral Service will be held at 1pm following visitation. Interment will be in Mount Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans or Barre Fire Department. Visitation
