Obituary of Grace C. Shephard Grace C. Shephard of Medina formerly of Middleport passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare System. Mrs. Shephard was born in the Town of Hartland on March 10, 1919 daughter of the late Homer and Alice (Seward) Brown. She and her husband Charles E. Shephard were married June 28, 1941 in Middleport and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lockport and she was active in the church. She enjoyed her family, sports, playing tennis, reading, crocheting and taking care of her home and her family. She also volunteered at Medina Memorial Hospital and Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport Site. She was predeceased by her husband Charles E. Shephard in l997 and by her brothers John Brown, Lewis Brown, William Brown, Robert Brown and Ernest Brown. She is survived by a son Charles E. (Shirley) Shephard Jr., of Arizona and a daughter Donna (Joe Stawicki Sr.) Farnham of Medina and her six grandchildren Scott Matusak of Lockport, Keri Ann Harper of Hawaii, Tammy Shephard of Oregon, Amy (Christopher) Teal of Lewiston, Charles E. (Vicki) Shephard III of Virginia and F. Ryan (Elizabeth) Shephard of Ransomville. Also surviving are eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 5PM to 8 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6339 Hamm Rd., Lockport, New York.
