Obituary of Harold R. Conrad (ALBION)
Harold R. Conrad, age 82, formerly of Moore Street, died April 2, 2007 in Orchard Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born January 16, 1925 in Naples, New York to Frank and Jennie(Eirick)Conrad and had lived in this area for many years. Mr. Conrad was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army, a member of the Albion First United Methodist Church, a former officer in the NYS Retired Teachers Assoc., a Cubmaster for 25 years for Cub Pack #48 and also was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Harold was also a member of the Renovation Lodge #97 F&AM, a former High Priest of Orleans Chapter #175 Royal Arch Masons, a former Grand Lecturer and 5 time Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a graduate of Naples Central School and SUNY Brockport which led to a teaching career starting in Henderson, NY moving to Harrisville, NY, then to Jasper, NY and finally to Albion where he taught Phys-Ed along with Science and Health. While at Albion Schools, Harold also coached basketball and tennis and finally retired in 1982
