Obituary of Harold D McMullen (Albion) Harold D. McMullen age 77 died May 27, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 29, 1942 in Rochester, a son of the late R. Roy and Ruth (Phinney) McMullen and had lived in this area most of his life. Harold graduated from Kendall High School in 1960. He worked at T.J. Lipton’s then went to work as a group leader at Kodak from 1962-1998. After retiring from Kodak, Harold drove school bus for Albion Central School and was affectionately known as “Grandpa” by his students. He loved all his grandkids. He loved camping, but most importantly, he truly loved and was loved by his family and could be seen at his children and grandchildren’s swim meets, band and chorus concerts, baseball and soccer games. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Larry (Jo) McMullen. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jan (Verkest) McMullen; his children Shawn (Luann) McMullen, Coleen (Jay) Pahura, Kevin (Karey) McMullen; he will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Shannon and Collin McMullen, Bobby and Alex Chevier, Nick and Zack McMullen, Hannah Pahura, Alicia, Dusty, Megan, Brianna, Zack and Nick Pahura, Troy Fidanza, Alyssa and Brianna McMullen; sisters-in-law Kathy (Brent) Jones, Eileen (Rob) Goodwin; brother-in-law Alan Verkest as well as several great-grandchildren, cousins and close family friends. His Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Orleans County Office for the Aging, 14016 State Rte. 31, Albion NY 14411, Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion NY 14411, Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester NY 14620 or to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Rochester NY 14620. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. Albion.
