Obituary of Harriet May Knisley McQueen Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Harriet May (Knisley) McQueen, age 95, of Gasport, NY, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014, surrounded by her family at Medina Memorial Hospital. Born January 22, 1919 in Middleport, Harriet is the daughter of the late Charles and Hattie (Zabel) Knisley. She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Harry McQueen and five children: William (Rose) McQueen of Middleport, Carol (John) Williams of Medina, Cheryl (Tony) Schepis of Lockport, Dawn (Michael) Duckworth of Medina and Janice (John) Brown of Lockport. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Harriet was predeceased by siblings: Clarence, Harold, Beatrice, Walter, Richard, Dorothy, Gladys and Alton. Harriet was employed for 18 years at Royalton-Hartland Schools as the manager of the cafeteria in Gasport. After raising her children, she found the time to do crafts and also enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends and relatives may call on June 9, 2014 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street in Gasport. Funeral services will be held immediately following.
