Obituary of Harriet F. Porter Harriet F. Porter of Georgia, formerly of Gasport passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home in Dalton, Georgia. Mrs. Porter was born in Middleport, NY on January 3, 1921 daughter of the late Delos and Maude (Curtis) Harrington. She was a homemaker who lived in Gasport for several years then moving to Georgia. She enjoyed going to church and doing activities at her church. She also enjoyed watching baseball and she enjoyed her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert M. Porter in l968 and by her siblings Ruth Nieman and William Harrington Sr. She is survived by a son Robert P. (Susan) Porter of Gasport and one daughter Leslie (Rev. David) Criswell of Georgia, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, June 13, 2011 from 12 Noon to 1:00PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will follow at 1PM with the Rev. David Criswell officiating. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Flowes are greatefully declined. Memorials to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Porter family.
