Obituary of Harriet K. Socha Harriet K. Socha (nee Muck), a lifelong Royalton resident, passed away at Elderwood of Lockport on August 2, 2018, age 89. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Theodore D. Socha. They were married August 12, 1950 at the former Royalton Baptist Church. For many years Ted and Harriet operated a family-run apple orchard, sharing their harvest with customers from throughout western New York. Harriet was a graduate of Lockport High School. She was a long-time bookkeeper in the firm of Lobee Pump in Gasport. She was an avid reader and a consummate homemaker. An accomplished and generous cook, no one ever left her table in want of food. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Alice (Van Horn) Muck and was predeceased by brothers Philip and Timothy Muck. Harriet is also survived by daughters Deborah (Chuck Dragoo) Estabrook and Mary (Paul) Pichey and sons Stephen (Marie) and Timothy (Robert Carlson); grandchildren Bradley (Leslie) Rosenthal and Stephanie (Gary) Cooper; great grandchildren Meadow Rosenthal, Cole Cooper and Knox Cooper; sister-in-law Elenore Muck; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements will be made by Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport. Burial will be in Royalton Union Cemetery, located on Bunker Hill Road, next to the home where Harriet was born.
